Our Story

When Basma Hameed was only two years old, an accident left her with third degree burns on 40% of her face. Throughout her life she had to undergo more than a hundred reconstructive surgeries. By the time she reached her teenage years, she was told that there was nothing more she could do. Unfortunately, even with all of the surgeries, the thing that remained most prominent was the discoloration of her skin.

At seventeen, she started to experiment on herself with different dermal techniques that she had hoped would alleviate the discoloration. In the process she perfected a first-of-its-kind dermal procedure called Scar Camouflage, which restored the natural color of her skin.

She quickly realized that what she had pioneered in the early 2000's, was unlike anything else available on the market. Basma knew that she had would help empower so many others around the world. And so, The Basma Hameed Clinic was born; the first and longest running clinic of its kind.

Throughout the years, she has continued to improve her state-of-the-art dermal Scar Camouflage technique, color artistry, symmetry guidelines and formulas. In the past two decades Basma built an elite team of professionals recognized for their ground-breaking Scar Camouflage work. The team at BHC has been hand selected and personally trained by Basma, not only for their natural artistic abilities and attention to detail, but also for their passion to help others.
